Vasiliki Alexiou

Vasiliki Alexiou received her Bachelor in Early Childhood Education from the Department of Early Childhood Education of the University of Thessaly. She received her Master’s degree from the Department of Primary Education of the University of Western Macedonia and attended a two-year educational course (Didaskaleion) at the School of Early Childhood EducationTeaching Unit of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She has been granted a scholarship from the State Scholarships Foundation because of her achievements during both her undergraduate and postgraduate studies. She is a Ph.D. researcher at the Department of Early Childhood Education at the University of Western Macedonia and has participated in research programmes. She has published numerous times in Greek and international journals and Greek and international conference proceedings. She has been working as a preschool teacher since 1998, when she received the 5th best score in the first exam of the Supreme Council for Civil Personnel Selection. She has also worked as a mentor in students' Practicum in the Department of Early Childhood Education Education at the University of Western Macedonia for 7 years.
