Fotini Garagouni-Areou

Fotini Garagouni-Areou is an in-service preschool teacher. She received her Bachelor in Preschool Education from the Department of Early Childhood Education of the University of Thessaly (1999) and she obtained her Doctoral Diploma in Educational Technology (2006) from the Department of Primary Education of the same University. Her PhD thesis is entitled “The effect of computer use in the behavior and academic achievement of primary school pupils with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder symptoms”. She has worked for 3 years in Greek public kindergartens and for 4 years in the Department of Early Childhood Education of the University of Thessaly as a mentor in students' Practicum. Her research interests concern the use ICT in education, the implementation of educational programs in preschoolers, the education of student teachers, etc. She has participated in various research projects and she has more than 20 articles published in International and Greek scientific journals and conference proceedings.
